Simon is a highly experienced Senior and Project Quantity Surveyor and now offers services to Commercial and Consultancy organisations at all grades of responsibility.

Having become a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), Simon has over a 10 year association with the Institute and acts as registered mentor to propsective chartered candidates. He joins fellow professionals regularly to promote Surveying as a viable career to the over 18 age group. He is also a registered 'early careers advisor' and actively encourages student Association with either the CIOB or RICS.

Simon is currently investigating Association with the Royal Instiution of Chartered Surveyors and expecting formalisation of this Association by August 2026.

He is highly experienced in training of junior staff including higher education qualifications and professional memberships and associations in addition to core Quantity Surveying Services.

In addition to undertaking duties on a board spectrum of projects, most recently Simon has undertaken drafting and guidance in preparation of Professional Submissions (both CIOB & RICS) together with social media formation for a plethora of private clients to instigate domestic and international placements.

Commencing in 1993 and encompassing a total of  24-year career in the Quantity Surveying profession, Simon has successfully administered numerous projects from inception to agreement of the Final Account including extensive contract and variation administration.

He has previously worked on a variety of projects utilising most modern financial planning and administration techniques including representations for Specialist, Sub Contractors and SMEs, Main Contractors and Private Consulting Practice including FTSE listed 100 organisations. This has included such techniques as Value Engineering, Risk Management, Whole Life Costing, Capital Allowances, Electronic Data Management systems, REVIT, BlueBeam Revu, and utilising a variety of traditional packages utilised in office administration. 

Simon is experienced in the administration of the New Engineering Contract 3 and 4 together with the industry standard JCT suite of contracts in addition to amended and bespoke forms and short orders. Although historic Simon also has gained international experience utilising the FIDIC forms of contract. Project and package administration has been undertaken utilising the New Rules of Measurement volumes 1 to 3, RICS published Principles of Measurement International in addition to more traditional methods including SMM6 and 7. 

His project portfolio is extensive and not exclusively limited to retail, leisure, hospitality, commercial and residential new built and fit out, commercial and housing maintenance. in addition to mixed use and framework contracts. 

Simon endeavours to encompasses the model of an above competent Quantity Surveyor. 

Simon is currently undertaking approved Mental Healh Awareness in Construction.
